Welcome to Nanaw Café, a hidden gem nestled atop a scenic hill in Binunsaran, Mambajao, Camiguin. This charming café is more than a refuge for weary travelers; it's a delightful journey into the heart of Filipino cuisine, with a stunning view that perfectly complements each carefully crafted dish.

The café’s ambiance strikes a balance between cozy and invigorating, surrounded by lush greenery that enhances the tranquil setting. Picture this: warm breezes rustling through the trees, the scent of freshly brewed coffee filling the air, and the sound of nature's melody serving as a backdrop. On a chilly, foggy afternoon, you can enjoy a comforting cup of their rich sikwate (hot chocolate), masterfully prepared to envelop you in warmth and richness.

When it comes to food, Nanaw Café shines with its remarkable offerings. The flavors resonate with authenticity, especially in dishes like the highly-praised Surol—a hearty chicken soup bursting with flavor and ideal for any palate. As Rachelle DJ exclaimed, it’s a “must-try,” truly living up to its reputation. For those adventurous enough to explore unique local ingredients, the fiddlehead fern salad promises an unforgettable flavor experience.

Don’t overlook their delightful Puto Maya served with mango and ubeko, which many customers rave about—especially when paired with their decadent sikwate. This is a place worth going to in Camiguin. Most of the dishes we ordered were good, most especially that chicken Surol. Must-try. Such a hearty soup. You might want to skip on the sizzling squid, & calamares. We loved the fiddlehead fern salad we ordered! So unique. And like what others raved about, their putomaya and tsokolate are simply comforting. The one thing we didn’t like is the service time. Food arrived 30-40mins after ordering, but since the staff were friendly and accommodating, it was forgiveable

With a name based on the Tagalog word “tanaw” (overlook/see), Nanaw Café is on a hill with a striking view of the island. We went here on a chilly and foggy afternoon, so a cup of hot chocolate was extremely ideal. They also serve meals, pastries, and coffee. The area is surrounded by trees and plants, you’ll definitely have a green time here.

Their Puto Maya with Mango and Ubeko are delicious, especially when paired with their rich and flavorful sikwate, a hot chocolate drink. What made our stay even better was enjoying these treats while it was raining; the warm drink was comforting, and the relaxing ambiance added to the experience.

Great little spot to stop for a local cocoa hot chocolate up in the middle of the island. Great views on a clear day I would imagine, it was very cloudy when we were here. However the location is cool, the staff are friendly and the Sikwate was rich and delicious.

Food - really good! We gave Surol another chance (coming from Cucina Higala just a few days before) and their Surol was more flavorful. Their Chicken Adobo was also good. I also enjoyed their Sinuglaw and even their Caldereta. Their Puto Maya was also delicious - it had a very mild hint of lemondgrass but it really worked well. The cafe was shortstaffed but they were very attentive and helpful nonetheless. The place was nice! It’s in the highlands part of the island. You might want to bring some insect repellent. But the food with the views were totally worth it!

Everything about this place was exceptional, especially the relaxing ambiance, which truly allowed us to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle. The atmosphere was so tranquil and inviting. The food was also delicious and satisfying, and we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, especially considering the remote location. It was a delightful experience overall, offering excellent value for money in a beautiful setting.

Nice views with cooler temperatures. I stopped here for a nice tuna and egg sandwich with dragon fruit shake.

I love the location of this place; the cold climate makes everything perfect, especially when drinking hot chocolate and eating freshly cooked rice cakes delicious!. I also appreciate the owner; they are very friendly and informative. The only downside is the mosquitoes, so be sure to bring mosquito repellent when you visit. Aside from that, everything is nice, the place has a chill vibe.
